The next release on BumpCut Records comes from rising UK talent JRJ. With a VIVa Music release featuring a Michael Bibi remix in late 2018 and plenty more planned for 2019, he's definitely an artist to keep an eye out for. His 'UNDGRND' EP features plenty of his distinguished sound and breakbeat-inspired influence too, along with plenty of modern tech house power. The title track, 'UNDGRND' opens the release with its raucous flavour. A phat, moody bassline and breaks percussion drive the main energy of the track. Rattled snare patterns, scratched vocal samples and almost early hip-hop-like attitude make this one a standout track. 'Get It On' features some iconic sampling, igniting instant nostalgia from the outset. Add to that some extremely robust drum work, creative melodic elements and another huge, pulsating bassline and hey presto; you've got yourself a largely attention-grabbing dancefloor weapon. Last up, JRJ joins forces with Havoc & Lawn on 'Britaly'. A rolling track consisting of harsh hats, crippling kickdrums and head-wobbling low frequencies.
