Sikelela Ramba famously known as Six,is a dj and an artist famous for streetwise rap vocals on house beats. Six was born in 1990 August 02 in the dusty streets of Cape Town in Khayelitsha but moved to Phillipi at the age of 3 years and moved back to Khayelitsha again at the age of 22. In 1997 Six started his primary education in a school called Claremont Primary,In 2004 he started his secondary education (grade 8) at Wynberg high. In 2006 Six changed schools and did his grade 10 at Hillcrest high in Mosselbay,unfortunately in 2007 Six had to move back to Cape Town to the mother city (Cape Town) to repeat his grade 10 at Gugulethu Comprehensive high, and completed his matric there. At the tender age of 10 (year 2000) Sikelela Ramba got his nickname "Six" from friends, well it was only a norm that each township child got their original name shortened instead of being called in full. Sikelela Ramba "Six" turned his kasi life experience into a career as an entertainer/artist telling his story. Sikelela Ramba now known by his stage name Six, was raised by a single mother who worked as a domestic worker. Through his childhood Six wanted to study travelling tourism, but his inspiration changed when he began doing music his kwaito rapping in 2004. Six continued writing songs and performing in neighborhood events. In 2007 he formed part of a group called "Capeteezi_4_Sheezi" which included 4 members and they also did neighbourhood performances and events for a duration of 5 years (2012). In 2012 Six met his first producer "Kenny Dolo" a deep house dj/producer whom produced 6 of his singles, which then introduced him into a wider and broader crowed of the Western Cape Province. In February 2016 Six recorded a hit track titled "Yiveze", which caught the attention of Luthando "TEDDIES" Kupe , whom also happens to be the CEO of Concept L Group (CLG). Teddies asked Six to add a second verse on the song, so he could push and distribute the song ,Six did just that and the song was on Metro Fm top 5 at 5 for 5 weeks on the Oskido I believe show and it ended up topping the charts to be number 1. As months went by, On August 8th Six then released his second single under Concept L Group (CLG) titled Stressa (Ama-Blessa). The single was on high rotation,and it became number 2 on the Ubarn top 40 and on number 1 on the BombChart on Yfm. In 2017 September 4 until 12 September 2017 the song "Stressa" was played on the background on some of the scenes in Rhythm City the local soapie that plays on E-tv. Six then released his 3rd studio single (Woza) under Concept L Group which was produced by KRONIK and Afronerd ,the single picked up at number 13 on Yfm Urban Chart top 40 on it's first week of radio release. Six is currently recording and planning to drop more music and doing features with other artists and producers.
