Ishmael Mudau is famously known for his Weekend reggae Jive music, born early 1980s in Nzhelele, raised in Lwamondo Venda (Limpopo Province). He started school at Nzhelele in 1992 and went to High School in 2001. He began his music career in 2000, His songs are mostly in his home language which is Tshivenda. He became popular at his home town performing at various events from a young age. Ishmael has been on various stages including Annual Africa Day Joburg, Phalaphala FM Birthday Party and many more. His 1st album to be released was "Diphineni" in 2012 followed by 4 other releases with the latest one been "Ndi ne Vhadau Ndi Nne" in 2019. Ishmael sold many albums in his music career and is still selling, he also released a very popular song dedicated to the current president of South Africa Honorable Mr. Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa which he wishes to perform directly for him one day. He is currently recording with DJ davic from Masana Records, Ishmael has been interviewed and air played by several local Radio and TV stations including PhalaPhala fm, Thobela FM and Soweto TV. He has been nominated for (TSHIMA) Tshivenda Music Awards in 2013, He shared stages with many respected individuals in the Reggae music industry such as Colbert Mukwevho, KhaKhathi Tshisikule, Humbulani Ramagwedzha & many more.
