David Campana is back, energized by the media feedback from his debut solo album "Bonjour, Hi". This new pop-trap flavored EP is produced by Majosty (Nissa Seych, Mikalya, Neomaestro). In the flagship title, Dice, Campana speaks of his determination to climb to the top of the industry. This EP was fully produced during the lockdown that has been going on since last fall in Quebec. Beatmaker & producer Majosty has isolated himself in David Campana's home studio, and the two of them concocted this sauce infused with drill, sometimes RnB influences, demonstrating the scale of what David is capable of doing so much in rap than singing. The themes tackled are always very relevant to the conquest of his dreams as an artist, the current context preventing him from working as he would have liked, but always finding solutions to achieve his ends. ABOUT EACH SONG, BY THE ARTIST: TEAM In Team, Campana juggles perfectly between rap and melodies on a trap production by Majosty. With its light and catchy chorus, and its many bars, this sound will appeal to both new school and old school Hip-Hop fans. DICE - Focus track Dice is a trap song that will electrify you from the first seconds, produced by Daysiz. David Campana generously serves us his sweet melodies, with an extra sauce of backs and ad-libs that will plunge you into a percussive sound universe. MAGIE Magie is a cloudy and melancholy trap song. This song has an atypical beauty by its structure and singular melody. The magic happens thanks to the arrangement of Campana's vocal melodies on a very minimalist production, composed of a piano and a bass inspired by Atlanta. MONEGASQUE - Single "It was about time! »- (Laughs) In life there is a time for everything. With "Monegasque" it was time to live the "High life". In terms of my creative process after "Bonjour, Hi" (first solo album) my goal was quite clear: to prepare a powerful comeback that would allow me to go beyond the limits of the local bubble. No one is a prophet in his country. With this objective in mind, I knew that my future texts should be aimed at a wider audience, such as Africa and Europe. This song was composed in a very contemporary sound aesthetic. We wanted a trap sound, freshness and play with trends so the "Drill" was our first choice. The sounds are very powerful in terms of drum and bass and are accompanied by an incisive production both in terms of flow and lyrics. The composition and arrangement also followed this artistic direction. Finally, the creative "mood" of this song is the confidence it takes to do this job. The message of this song is that I want to live from my music as a prince lives from his riches. We arrive in France with the desire to impose ourselves despite the downsides that money and power can bring. We arrive neat and overpriced, a la Monegasque, with confidence and a smile that could almost be mistaken for arrogance. PAS DE SOUCIS Pas de soucis is the very definition of trap-soul, a trap flavored with flow and a suave grain of voice in the RnB tone. The production inspired by the urban sound of the South of the United States, with instruments and a Latin rhythm will make you waltz. OH GOD Oh God is a dark trap song with futuristic and electronic tones in which we discover a direct, incisive and above all "don't give" David Campana. The well-researched use of glides (bass) gives real power to the production. DIE FREE - If we could have a second "focus track", that song would be it, to showcase Campana's singing skills & RnB vibe. Die Free is an alternative rap inspired by the Emo trap generation. In this emotional and melancholy song, we find a David Campana who is not afraid to reveal himself, once again vulnerable in the face of his emotions.
