Colonial FX is the Dub related alias of Irish producer/DJ Oisin Daly. After embracing sound system culture in Galway, Ireland, Daly became obsessed with creating bass heavy dub riddims and introducing the sound to his new hometown of Savannah, Georgia. Colonial FX has release two EP's of remixes and has played multiple festivals in Ireland, as well as holding down a weekly residency in Savannah, GA. Constantly remixing and innovating, CFX is always looking for new avenues to bring his bass driven sound. Released by Boom One Records, "Righteous Day to Stand Up" is the debut album from Colonial FX. Colonial FX fuses bass driven UK Steppers Reggae with aspects of Psydub, Dubstep, Drum and Bass, Dancehall, and House/Techno in this seven track LP. Heavy bass and driving rhythms combine with analog and digital synths which ties together Daly's live guitar playing and use of samples to create a unique sound, with one foot in the UK sound system scene and one in his current home of USA's culturally diverse electronica sound.
