KEMETIC means "belonging to the black land." The word is derived from the ancient name Kemet, which means "Black Land." In 2020 YXUNGWAVE dropped KEMETIC I, a 5 track poetic masterpiece that paints a grim picture of the socio-economic issues faced by millions of black South Africans. It also touches on the painful past of colonialism and the permanent scars it left on Africa as a whole. In KEMETIC II, YXUNGWAVE continues where he left off as he shares more of his life experiences and also details the ups and downs of being a black youth In South Africa (Azania). As IN.2.DEEP as we are, the rapper believes mental revolution is the key to freedom. In the songs OUTTA MY BIZZ and CHANGES, he raps about the realities of his upbringing and the LESSONS he learned throughout the years of his NOT EASY life.
