Artist, producer and sound designer Kiran Kai follows early collaborations with Rosie Lowe ('Muesli') and Toulouse ('Overthrown') and by sharing his new track 'Evade', which features fellow rising talent Daisy Maybe. Following on from the recent 'Missilence', the two tracks preview his debut EP 'XYZ' which follows on May 22nd via AllPoints. The 'XYZ' EP features production and writing credits from the Mercury Prize and NME Award-winning grime icon Skepta; the multi-platinum producer fwdslxh (6lack, Pusha T, PARTYNEXTDOOR); the Grammy-nominated Jordan Rakei; and Ben Baptie (Moses Sumney, Rex Orange County). 'Evade' captures Kiran Kai's distinctive sound, a genre-blending exploration of postmodern jazz, nocturnal trip-hop beats and atmospheric guitars. His lyrics - huskily delivered in a rhythmic stream of consciousness - heighten its woozy, after hours vibe while Daisy Maybe's ethereal vocal adds to its unorthodox style.
