Arriving February 28th on APOCALIPSIS, New York City's own SHELL X and Vermilion Bird have teamed up for "Traviesa," delivering the message that an uncompromising, unapologetic femme presence in música urbana that is here to stay. "Traviesa" is a club anthem dedicated to empowered sexuality that's as playful as it is powerful. "Traviesa" is El Salvador and Ecuador-rooted SHELL X's debut single, with agile, quick-witted verses landing over a driving, bass-heavy beat produced by Vermilion Bird, who hails from Argentina. Reminiscent of reggaetón's earlier, Daddy Yankee-powered days, the track skillfully balances melodies programmed with classical orchestral instruments and perreo sample packs.
