Who are these nutters? Similar Summers is a high energy 3-piece band whose roots are firmly entangled in the infectious melodies of pop and punk rock. The band was formed in 2017 when long-time friends Andy and Matt got together to record the first EP 'Distant Sounds' which was released in April 2018. Now eager to hit the stage, the band was completed by good friend Haydn who stepped in on bass and an instant 'click' was felt and the band was locked in. Preferring to focus on the positive side to life, Similar Summers lays down upbeat songs arranged around a melody driven frame of mind. The DIY ethos is deeply instilled in the band with the 3 members having done the rounds in the music scene over the years, coming from bands like City Bowl Mizers, Sibling Rivalry, HOURS and Goubutt Soldiers & Hated Related. So if you feel like getting stoked and maybe putting a jump in your step – Similar Summers is the band (not the droids) you're looking for.
