Rising r&b singer Ayelle's new EP 'Slow Clap' is finally here and delivers some of her most enticing work to date. Produced by Portsmouth based Brad Baker with co-production and writing from Jonah Stevens and Nakala, the electronic r&b infused EP is a profound artistic statement, both sonically and lyrically. "I wanted to explore the roles we play in glorifying unhealthy relationships and break down the myth of what a fuckboy is. These guys aren't necessarily assholes, they're often nice guys who are painfully unaware and/or entitled in their actions. The concept of the EP is a slow clap for them, but also a call for self reflection and taking responsibility for our own feelings." - Ayelle Her previous releases this year include Chill Vibes playlisted 'Young (feat. Alex Lustig)' and the Majestic Casual Records release 'Boy' which immediately picked up support from BBC 1Xtra's Jamz Supernova and landed in Spotify's 'Vibes'. Ayelle grew up in Sweden and Spain, and continued on to pursue music in London, where she has since garnered support from the likes of Majestic Casual, Jamz Supernova, Chill Nation, Trap Nation, Complex UK, Indie Shuffle, The Line of Best Fit, Earmilk and Hillydilly. The PRS Women Make Music grantee is known for bittersweet, sultry vocals and emotive lyrics. Drawing inspiration from own life experiences, her writing explores power dynamics within relationships, challenging the status quo, as well as sparking discussion and self-reflection. 2017 saw the singer reach new heights, racking up millions of streams as well as 400,000 monthly listeners on Spotify thanks to successful releases such as 'Stay Calm' with long-time collaborator Calper, and 'Lights out' with Sonn on Majestic Casual. Ayelle has also released a string of features with artists such as Maths Time Joy, Devault, Alex Lustig and Taska Black on labels like San Holo's Bitbird and Zed Dead's Deadbeats.
