After a return album (Le Bucher, 2017) that was a warm nod to its loyal fans, NIQC wanted to renew itself and address a more current sound. He called on composer Danny Ill of Montreal and director Anthony Plante of Quebec City to concoct the EP Shmok1 which contains five strong titles. Inspired by its creative world and the forthcoming legalization of cannabis in Canada, NIQC delivers an emotionally packed project that stands out with its frank speech, versatile flow, and catchy choruses.
