Dark Central Stem is a long term collaborative project from Luke Wyatt (Torn Hawk) and Randall Carter. The two met as teens while both were locked up in a secure residential treatment center in the hills outside Huntsville, Alabama. A veteran of the Alabama juvenile noise scene (whatever that is), Randall introduced Luke to many of the concepts, tools, and timbres he later employed as Torn Hawk. While the two were prohibited access to musical instruments and equipment while in the facility, they began exchanging recordings in the years after their release. This collection compiles tracks from that almost 30 year relationship.
