Evidence Music
Throughout our lives we keep moving towards finding our "Safe Place" - in whatever form. Producer-artist NLSON's very first single, titled "Safe Place", captures an intimate moment of connection, romance and true partnership. The record is the result of an international collaboration between NLSON and the two emerging Jamaican artists Truvi and Kxng Izem. NLSON's productions perfectly reflect his own emotional universe and musical inspirations, merging soulful Jazz chords with leading percussive rhythms. By using exciting guitars and trumpets NLSON creates a landscape of mood-amplifying sounds for his listeners. The close-knit bond between the bass-line and kick drum makes your body rock from the first until the very last note. Truvi's honey-toned harmonies on the layed-back hook are followed up by a toasting-style verse where she shows off some of her weapons of choice as vocalist. Kxng Izem's call to love on the second verse is delivered with his calm and full-bodied voice, after easing us into the track at the beginning of the record. "Safe Place" sits somewhere between slow jam and slow whine. A very promising introduction to the sounds of NLSON.
