Would you like to hear about the time The Bearded Man went on a Safari? Of course you would… but that would be too easy… Instead, we'll tell ye the tale of the time The Bearded Man invented the music box — AKA the very first boombox. Flash back to early 19th century Switzerland. The Bearded Man was having a roaring discussion with prominent watchmakers about the Antikythera Mechanism, almost exactly 100 years before it was 'discovered'. The Bearded Man posited: "If the Greeks could use watch mechanisms two thousand years ago to predict orbital paths, why can't we use watches now to make music on the road? So I can haz my jamz with me everywhere I go, yo?" Bam. Music box was invented on the spot. First ever tune he carried with him everywhere he went? Sir Felix's 'Safari'.
