Samant D'legend (SDL) was born on Sunday the 15th of July in Kumasi, Ghana to Mr. Bernard Antwi and the late Mrs. Margaret Konadu. His real name is Samuel Antwi and has three other brothers. He started singing at a tender age and started writing songs at the early age of 12. He started singing in church, school and parties when he was very young. He was named Buju Banton due to the fact that he loved and listened to Reggae music. Sam was very shy when growing up in Taifa-Accra, Ghana but yet would perform and crack jokes in front of the crowd and he would also do what was expected of him perfectly. Apart from Reggae music, he was also interested in RnB, Gosple, hip-hop. The love for R&B/soul set in when he was in high school where he used to listen to R.Kelly, Joe and etc. He started travelling around the world at a very young age. He has been to countries like Thailand, Turkey, Philippines, Brazil, Argentina, South Africa and still counting. Samant D'legend is currently signed to Tama Industries.
