From the heart of Swindon, England: CHANEY is back with his second release of 2022. His KOOKOO Records debut, "Pick Me Up" is building fanfare for a brand new 4 song EP "Southwest Soul Club", releasing March 25th. Chocked-full of classic 80s Funk samples from the likes of iconic artists such as Bohannon, Geraldine Hunt and The Whispers, CHANEY forecasts a bright future for the sound of new-age, Funk based House Music. Previous EP, "Edible" landed him a tightly knit fanbase of Dance Music lovers from local UK listeners, and traction in many major American cities as well. Marketing efforts were a success following "Edible", leading to an appearance on the Annie Mac-BBC Radio 1 show to record a mix, as well as landing 3 consecutive BBC Radio 1 spins from Sarah Story, Danny Howard and Pete Ton on the day of release. Single "Pick Me Up" is releasing March 11th 2022. KOOKOO Records is the disco of tomorrow. At KOOKOO, we believe in reviving yesterday's wild and colorful disco culture in a modern context. Leaving all old cliches aside, we thrive on pushing the boundaries of technology to achieve the perfect balance of analog and digital art in all its forms. Using music as a primary resource, we share our nostalgia through innovation and experimentation, frequently sampling works from the past as a starting point in our production processes.
