Thessaloniki looks unreal at the moment. No rain forecast for the suburbs or for the Test Match at Posidonio, an ultramarine sky, Autumn dresses and tourists dancing in the parks. I feel a bit unreal too. I find it hard to believe it is a mere five days since I finally completed this compilation, exhausted and not a little proud of what I have achieved. So wait a little, give me time to remember the excitement of it all, the bottles of wine in the small hours of the morning, the hot cups of steaming coffee, the great music, the frustration i've got to overcome. It's been my habbit since I first started writing press releases to include in this series. This new volume is different, more personal, more mature and-fingers crossed-more accessible too, a labour of love that was completed thanks to the trust and the enthusiasm of a handful of friends, close and far away.....There's nothing much to add, I have no intention to rehearse here the sort of sickening preach I know i'll never give at the Music Industry Awards (may they choke on their caviar). "RETURN TO PARADISE 6" was intended to be an Electronica/Downtempo Fort Alamo in what for me (and thousands of others) has become a musical desert. There's no reason why the Mexicans should win this time. Come on, friends, we'll have tortillas for supper tonight!
