''No Love To Give' is the brand new collaboration between Yorkshire rap pioneer, Chiedu Oraka and Irish alternative hip-hop artist and producer, cbakl. The release also features vocals from fellow Hull-native, Rouk3n. Mellow and emotive, the track encapsulates the feeling of heartbreak and the emotional repercussions of that. Both Oraka and Rouken's smooth, reflective vocals sit on top of cbakl's finely-tuned production; made up of melodic piano chords, sharp kicks and a raw, direct bassline. 'No Love To Give' is a collaboration that works; showcasing the talent of three very different yet exceptional artists. Short bio for Chiedu: Since emerging onto the scene from his native city of Hull, Chiedu Oraka is undoubtedly one of the most exciting voices in his genre. Cutting his own unique path through UK Black music, Oraka continues to make waves with a steadily growing body of solo work as he defies genres with his blend of raw honesty and lyrical intensity. Long known as a pioneering figure in the Northern Grime and Rap scene, 'The Black Yorkshireman's' music has attracted attention from Sian Anderson and Annie Mac through to Charlie Sloth and Sir Spyro with his highest performing single, 'Darcy' achieving 3 million+ streams, sitting on Spotify's Grime Shutdown for over 300 days (8th longest on playlist). Beyond music, Chiedu has been a vocal advocate for equality and justice, lending his voice (in one of many examples) to the documentary series 'Black Kings Upon Hull'. Here we see the intersection of activism and art, one of the reasons that Chiedu remains such a fierce representative of the Black British experience. Short bio for cbakl: Cbakl is an alternative hip hop artist producing eclectic beats drawing influence from jazz, R&B, soul and house. Starting out uploading tracks to SoundCloud aged 15, he has now progressed to become one of Ireland's most in demand beatmakers. Amassing over 10 million streams across various platforms with two songs featured on the RTE show Kin, starring Aiden Gillen (GOT, Peaky Blinders) and Emmett J. Scanlan (Peaky Blinders, The Fall), cbakl joined Word Up Collective in early 2022, releasing two more soul sampling singles - 'man she loves' and 'new girls every night' - before starting work on a brand new project featuring some of the most exciting musicians in Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK, the lead single of which sees him collaborate with Yorkshire MC Chiedu Oraka. In January 2023 he will premiere cbakl: seanfhocail at TradFest Temple Bar, a reimagining of traditional music for the modern age - combining archive samples with hip hop, eclectic beats, spoken word, jazz, R&B, soul and house - featuring guest artists Bricknasty, Matt O, Alicia Raye, Natalya O'Flaherty and Sasaha Terfous.
