Color Station
On Friday March 20, Laveda releases their next single "L," cinematic dream pop that's part of their upcoming album titled What Happens After. Movement via the band's signature noise and guitar riffs center around a melodic chorus. Once Laveda got things sounding right, the song "brought up imaginations of being at a high school dance in the 1980s," says Ali, which sparked the subject matter of the lyrics. "I wanted to reflect my generation's approach to love, one where sex is scarily available with just a few taps on your phone and it's cooler not to care than actually be vulnerable. I think most young people really do want to be loved properly. This fashionable idea that love shouldn't be fragile or imperfect and how it's seen as a weakness by many is extremely damaging and makes life that much more difficult to maneuver through."
