DJ and Producer, T. Mixwell offers dance floors unconventional concoctions of House, Techno, and Minimal; all stirred into one big melting pot of edgy banging fun. As a kid growing up on a significant diet of artists like Donna Summer, Temptations, Marvin Gaye, and Chi-lites, as well as Kwame, Earth Wind and Fire, Punk, New Wave, and Rock; T. Mixwell knocked out any preconceived notions of what type of music she would pursue when she followed her path towards her love of Classical Music. It wasn't until her early teens when she discovered her passion for House music while listening to her brother play records in his bedroom, and soon found herself going to parties/raves in the mid to late nineties. Pursuing her calling to move from dance floor to DJ booth, she became educated in the basics of holding a mix on a pair of belt-driven Gemini's and solidified her skills, quickly moving onto Technic 1200's and continuing forward without a glance back. Currently T. Mixwell has been promoting her new label "Beat Thesis", playing at events across the world, and working hard on her projects in the studio. Releases currently out on labels Sugar Shack Recordings, Radda Records, and Restricted Access to name a few. You'll also find T.
