SkyeGlow, the artist. Mi5 Recordings release entitled "I Run This Game" "I used to sing, watching the stars in the Nigerian night. Now I can see them from the London Sky." Born in Nigeria, raised in London, UK, singer-songwriter Skyeglow creates his music by entwining the melody of his deeply spiritual Nigerian birthplace–– with the pulse and rhythm energy of his cosmopolitan London home. In early 2019, Skyeglow broke out with his debut indie single "Fallen Heroes," which hit the official UK Music Week Commercial Pop Chart Top 30 and eventually bested the chart positions of major acts such as Calvin Harris, Olly Murs, Jess Glynn, Kelly Clarkson, Marshmello, and many a major label artists released by powerhouses such as Atlantic and Polydor. The youngest child in a deeply spiritual immigrant family, Skyeglow grew up immersed in the memories past and possibilities present. But he did not hear and feel them as a separate "then" and "now" but as melodies and rhythms unbroken, deep in connection…community…conscience. In the many, Skyeglow hears The One. He composes as he performs: as a full-fledged engagement of spirit and body, mind and heart. This alchemy of opposites he calls the philosophy of "WORD" –– finding the universal divine in the passion and power of music, its immediacy, pulse, intensity, the summoning of the sensual and sacred as a shared, transformative experience, be it in the dance club, concert hall, and sacred space. Strikingly, Skyeglow has found this unity in the lyrical, devout hymns and traditional spiritual of his family and the breakout artist of his youth––Celine Dion, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Annie Lennox, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson. But his voice and vision have their lyric, their own raucousness. These are the rhymes, trips, and grooves that only Skyeglow could conjure, inspiring a London of all kinds of origins, backstories, and aspirations spreading far beyond his city's gates to young audiences in so many Londons everywhere, and to all ages in the towns, cities, places in between. Yet Skyeglow aims for something in addition to chart success: giving voice to the wider, more unifying diverse world coming into being. Through innovative, well-crafted, propulsive pop songs he conveys the joyous Shock of the New and the fire and spirit devout of cultures renewed and re-imagined. Skyeglow first sang to the nighttime stars above his Nigerian birthplace, but his music and journey have expanded that star-filled sky to share with audiences in his home city of London, his home Britain––and with audiences in all the known world beyond. Singer/songwriter — Skyeglow (Daniel Chucks) Producer— Barry Diston
