Didn't see this one coming: 6Blocc and Uome's dubstep project has appeared dormant for a good five years before they suddenly return with a full album of denters, hurters and sweet, sweet steppers. Most of which bring us up to speed on their original repertoire but there's a fair whack of unreleased cuts, too. Old or new, there's one consistency: Hoodz tap into the original dubstep ethos with ta strong sense of authenticity, jungle attitude and dark, pensive funk. "Bad Mind" rolls with a Eek-A-Mouse style vocal dynamic, there's a strong sense of Horace-level harmony on "The $", the sudden wash of jazzy chords on "Jungle Vision", the raw roughage of "Kong" and jaw-breaking bleakness of "Uppercut".
