The song talks about that moment when a very hurtful relationship finally ends, and you're trying to pretend that you're better off alone (like a golden eagle) but you're actually just a mess trying to start something new (an egg). Intimate thoughts and prayers paired with a let-it-go-esque chorus attitude that leads to a massive synthesizer fiasko. An ode of liberation from a hurtful relationship you held on to for way too long. Imagine a poppy Tame Impala tune mixed with your dad's favorite disco track that he will play drums to on the steering wheel.
