Edward is part of a diptych, which Wikipedia describes as "an artwork consisting of two pieces or panels, that together create a singular art piece". It's a country pop song about learning and about love. The second part of the diptych is out in the fall of 2022. The song features guitar, mandolin and harmonies by Jon's brother Ben Campbell and his partner Laura Molinelli, who together form the dream pop band Luminous Crush.
