LOVETURL
Baatin "The Slum Lord"...name says it all. Baatin, translated as "The Hidden", has truly been an enigmatic force in the Detroit music's Hip Hop scene. He is a founding member of the iconic group "Slum Village", alongside Jay Dee aka J Dilla & T3. The group's separation after their 3rd LP "Trinity - Past Present Future" left Baatin as a solo artist seeking facility and production. Recordings found from Waajeed's Bling47 Group and the Los Angeles based OperationX served as a path way to uncover The Hidden gem "UNO ZERO". We say uncover with remorse, as Baatin "The Slum Lord" ascended in 2009 due to unfortunate events. Up until the moment of his ascension there were consistent recordings. A decade or so later LOVETURL was able to unearth the sessions that were found under the working title "UNO ZERO". A Magnum Opus of 15 selections featuring production from Hugh Whitaker, Darnell Murphy, Sterling Tolles and a slew more. Here is the 1st release from BAATIN "The Slum Lord" in over 10 years! "Don't Stop" with remixes by I, Ced and FH X BV (WEAR PATTERNS), as well as the Jit anthem "Buried Glory" We would like to thank ButterMade Records' Hugh Whitaker, BoomNote Records' Josh One, The Titus Glover Estate and Gus Sutherland for preserving the art! We hope you enjoy. credits
