With two EPs, several singles and features and lately a beautiful cover version of Drake's "Passionfruit" Chinese born Lui Peng gained more than 3 million streams on his catalogue. CLASH magazine called him "...new pop wonder." Lui Peng was born in China but moved to London as a kid. He toured Asia for the first time in 2019 and received raving reviews from Asian press including Bandwagon, The Hive, MTV Asia, Yahoo Asia and more. Brands like PINK by Victoria's Secret and Swedish speaker brand Libratone or H&M work with Lui Peng and his music. "Disappointed" is the second single taken from Lui Peng's upcoming new EP, scheduled for late summer 2019. There will be at least one more song before EP release. The music video for "Just a Phone Call Away" is going to be released in the next weeks which guarantees another point of contact for promotion and attentions of fans Info: Lui Peng is looking back on a pretty busy 2018. Having released several tracks leading into his latest EP "Feathers" plus a hand-full of collaborations with artists such as Reece Lemonius and having toured Asia for the first time in his career including shows at Singapore's Music Matters there sure was a lot happening for the London based artist. While all this has happened, he was permanently working on new music - such as his newest track "Disappointed". "I remember I was feeling pretty down from a girl who had broken it off with me. For me it was one of the more intense connections I've felt towards someone and it brings me discomfort to think she probably never felt the same. Music has always been a form of release for me. I wanted to portray my vulnerability juxtaposed with a little attitude and thought the best way was to write a song in denial, pretending I was only disappointed. The truth is I was definitely hurt." The "Unavailable" EP, a body of work which Lui Peng describes as "happy sad love songs that fall somewhere between being in love and heartbreak.", is scheduled for late summer. Before that at least one more song will be released.
