Covering topics from all corners of vi0let's life, 'Believe Me When I Cry' is a personal letter to the people in her life. The title of the EP expresses the frustration that comes with not being heard. As a young woman, vi0let is asking to be heard and believed in her personal experiences. Covering conversations of unstable family relationships and heartbreak to falling in love, this can be deemed as vi0let's most open, personal and vulnerable work to date. Sonically she pushes her own limitations to what is deemed as R&B, using trap and hip-hop percussion over sultry 6-layered harmonies and sexy bass-lines. Using elements of pop in her music creates a fun side to the EP though it handles many serious topics. Believe Me When I Cry is a journey throughout the past 2 years of vi0let's life and displays many of the musical elements and abilities the German-Irish singer continues to embark on.
