Konteks has been exclusively digging for sweet jazz melodies and lush textures across UK record stores for the past year, to create wonderfully warm, winter lo-fi instrumentals. Ballads For Backgrounds aims to create a pleasant backdrop for cozy winter nights. Konteks is a British beatmaker based in Manchester. His releases City Samba and Dusty have gathered millions of streams and shined a light on a unique sampling and production technique in the European beatmaking scene. This allowed him to collaborate with blackwave. a Belgian duo who also worked with Benny Sings (Stones Throw) on his latest album.
