Chalice emerged from the Gilbraltar hills of St. Mary on April 1,1980 and was comprised of talented musicians from diverse social and musical backgrounds. At Their Best features Chalice's greatest hits from the period 1980 to 1986, when the band was made up of of Robert "Robi" Peart (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Wayne Armond (guitar, vocals), Keith Francis (bass), Oswald "Trevor" Roper (guitar, vocals), Desmond "Desi" Jones (drums), Michael Wallace (keyboard, vocals) and Ervin "Alla" Lloyd (keyboards). Chalice has had an incredible career, opening for notable U.S. acts including The Commodores, The Spinners, Eddie Kendricks and The Four Tops. The band has also had a slew of hits including "I Still Love You",which stayed at number one in Jamaica for seven weeks, "Stew Peas", "Revival Time", "Can't Dub", "I'm Trying" and the seminal "Good To Be There".
