Akin to a wild horde of stampeding pre-historic creatures, 'Mammoth Dub' produces the sonic experience of a thousand beasts emerging out of their slumber, only to be furiously invigorated with rage as fierce sub stabs command the remaining low-end capacity for themselves. Along a more claustrophobic alley, 'Tubed' eagerly awaits the moment you least expect, before dissolving into a monumental halftime rhythm, leaving no doubts about impending pull-up requests. Ingrained with swing, the drum patterns never cease to appeal to Dubstep aficionados throughout the EP. Heading over to 'Kommodo Riddim', the reversed sample effects escort a more 2-Step / UK-Garage based rhythmic display, perfectly capturing its spirit and propelling the sonic signature into modern times. Hypnotic shakers keep the time, only to be blasted away by voracious sub impulses. Not meant for the weak-hearted, the controlled movements of immersive bass will test your speakers' low frequency cut-off. Complementing the whole release, Aki has brought a industrial-sounding 'System Dub' to the (turn)table, vigorously stepping forward. Ethereal echoes develop and amplify the sounds intensity as the thumping kick drum invariably drives this Dub-Stepper to a global scene of sound systems, specialising in modern Dub and Dubstep.
