We're in a time where speaking about mental health is prevalent. This song draws to the fact that depression is so obnoxious and a constant reminder to some that forever is not always meant to be for life as briefly alluded to in the song title, "A Long Time". To some, surviving the prison of mental illness is sometimes so overwhelming that it feels like the only strength left is the knowledge that death brings permanent peace because straightforwardly, if you want to be free, you can't hold onto things that hurt. But over and above this, this song just creates awareness that you are not alone and there are many others who understand. You can overcome this. May this song help you in your healing and if anything, may this art offering be the one to live for a long time and supersede our physical presence when we are no longer here.
