CAREER BEGINNINGS Through the Coca Cola Popstars talent search competition, he was selected to be a member of the inaugural competition group 101 in 2002. His role in the group was not limited to the vocalist South Africans knew and loved, but he was also involved in song-writing for the group. He wrote the hit single "Goodbye", a song recorded in London and also featured in Metro FM's Eddie Zondi's compilation album "Zondi Ballads". HIS SOLO CAREER After the success of 101, a focused and driven Presss had identified his signature, a tantalising sound fusing R&B, Afro Soul and Jazz. In 2004, South African music lovers were treated to his debut solo album, "From 101"with Hit songs like "Cry No More", "iLobola". "Young, Gifted and Black", was released in 2017. Presss went on a 3 weeks tour of Belgium in 2008, followed by a tour to Lithuania. He has since performed in the Seychelles, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 2014 Presss released an album called 'Black' which offered the hit song, Thojana ya Thesele. Due to lack of proper distribution, this song is now the single to a more powerful album "Evolution of Love".
