Brandon Aaron Lazaroff (born February 14th, 1989), professionally known as Green Midas, is an American rapper, singer, song writer, and entrepreneur. Born and raised in New York City, Green Midas began his music career when he founded the record label MAV RECORDS in 2019, and released his debut EP THE MARYJANIUM TAPE in 2020, and started his clothing line Green Midas Lifestyle. His stage name came to him through meditation. Green Midas is Something of a cross between the Green Lantern energy, which is meant to represent the way he sees cannabis to be a real life version of vibranium from the movie Black Panther, Paul Bunyan the lumberjack, and King Midas, only everything Green Midas touches would simply "Grow like a plant would." Aside from the obvious topic of cannabis culture, He uses his music to express his philosophies, promote entrepreneurship, and uplift his fans by sharing the universal gems he obtained through studying spiritual science, and lessons drawn from his real life experiences. If you speak to his fans, they would tell you they feel like they "know him personally after listening to his music." His early childhood years took place in lower Manhattan where he attended music school on scholarship learning classical music. All through grade school he always excelled in the Language Arts. During these years, is when he found his love for the hip hop culture, so it's no surprise he developed a strong passion for the musical/lyrical arts. His father passed away when he was only 1 years old, and over the next several years, life for him and his mother became poverty stricken. By the time he was 8 years old they moved to Williamsburg Brooklyn, where he would spend the next 9 years of his life coming to terms with the fact he was never going to be tall enough for a career in Basketball worth chasing, and decided to try his hand with school. After graduating class of 2007 from Millenium HighSchool, he moved away to attend college at the City College of New York, and dropped out after one semester. Within the next year, he quickly realized music had always been his passion, and though he wasn't as tall as he would want for a basketball career, he believed that when it came to music, his mind was as valuable as being 7 foot tall in the NBA. He would spend the next 9 years of his life, mostly putting music on hold to soul search, trying many different occupations around the city in hopes of saving money for a music career. Because of his many attempts all over the city to earn a living, If you were to ask green Midas what borough he is from, he would tell you "the whole New York", although he favors Brooklyn due the fact that it's where his teenage years developed. It's also where he feels the most at home, and where he has always ended up returning to. By age 27 he had not only found answers to his life's questions through studying spiritual science, but had also began making real progress toward his hip hop dream.
