Born in Detroit, Ali sang as the lead singer for 13 years for The Temptations. Ali put the Temptations back on top when he wrote and sang lead on their hit "Treat Her Like A Lady". He performed with many legends such as Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan, James Brown, Lou Rawls, The O'Jays, Howard Hewett and many others. Ali Woodson & Friends includes duets with Freda Payne, Jody Watley, Cindy Herron-Braggs, Gwen Majors, Preston Glass, Angel Sessions and of course, The Temptations. "Everlasting" and "Heaven Help Us All" will be worked to Gospel radio and mainstream initially.
