The First Generation LPMo Muse
Tamaki Makaurau-based Somali-Kiwi rapper Mo Muse releases his debut album "The First Generation LP".
With features from Abdul Kay, Raiza Biza, Blaze the Emperor and Jane Deezy and production from SFT, Baccyard, and MUESLIBEATS, the album represents life as a first-generation New Zealander with themes that tie together diasporic identities and personal experiences.
Album focus single 'All The Kids' is a slice of growing up as a new New Zealander with immigrant parents - packaged with a catchy hook and a head-bopping beat reminiscent of rock-hip hop hybrid acts like The Roots.
Over the last couple of years, the young AmmoNation rapper has been on a steady rise. Muse speaks with an airy nostalgia, induced from the early 2000's golden age of alternative hip-hop, bringing a humble sense of maturity and emotiveness to his works.
