Fueled by late nights in basement studios and frequent runs to local cafés for coffee, Pyramid Tropic's music is percussive, synth-based dance music. One member is known as the singer/songwriter of a Toronto-based indie pop band while the other is recognized for designing music production software used by programmers working with Bjork, Depeche Mode and Austra. While retaining Pyramid Tropic's distinctive vocal and electronic pop sound, the groups says, "Mexico (Deep Haus Mix) is a tip of the hat to the early days of Chicago house music with its beat and sparse, synthesized sounds that introduced dub effects and drop-outs which had never been heard before."
