The first of three lead singles to drop from independent producer and songwriter MCK's debut EP "Amplifications" (January 2020), 'Fantasy' is a realisation of deeper feelings -- an unrealistic scenario played out in a hopeful romantic kind of way. Co-produced by Brandon Black and featuring fellow Auckland wunderkind Bobandii on a verse, 'Fantasy' is a R&B-infused chill-pop tune with reverb-soaked vocals and a sophisticated, spacious instrumental. "I had been to a few of Silas's shows and loved his energy and versatility. I reached out to him about collaborating and he sent me a verse overnight. I would have released Fantasy as is -- but he took it to another level and now I couldn't imagine telling this story without him." Over the last 6 months, MCK has been piecing together her first body of work out of Depot Studio with engineer Morgan Allen. "It's been such an incredible process -- being in complete control and having the confidence to steer this where I wanted it to go has been so rewarding."
