Anthony Hollywood McDonald has been performing since he was nine years old. His chosen craft as a youngster was to imitate singers of all genders and it just got easier for Anthony when he got older. At the age of seventeen Anthony was signed to RCA records where he was an acclaimed member of the R&B group: "Me 2 U". In 1993, the group released their self-titled debut album on BMG/RCA Records which sold 2 million records. Two of the album's singles, "All Night" and "Want U Back", charted, reaching #57 and #45 on the R&B charts.
In the span over the next 7 years, Anthony signed with A&M records and in 1999 he was signed to Universal/ Interscope/Motown records where he joined the group "Majusty". In 2000, Majusty released the R&B single "Where is the Love" on the action-comedy film, Bait soundtrack. Shortly after, the name of the group was changed to "Prophet Jones". Anthony's smooth, multi part harmonious vocals captured and delivered lush R&B ballads such as the hit O'Jays remake "Cry Together". Hollywood sang the lead on the "Cry Together" remake leaving audiences, fans, and listeners amazed on how much he sound like the original Levert.
The album quickly leaped into the billboard charts immediately after release and grasped record sales of 2.5 million with the release of hits "Lifetime" and "Woof". Anthony performed on several popular music video shows such as 106 and Park: BET's top `10 live and the music dance show, Soul Train.
Anthony is also an avid comedian who performs in short comedy funny humorous skits, cooking shows and interviews. He has a long list of characters including Cooking star Hosts "Shaniqua Star", Rock Star "Billy Mantal", Retired Pimp "Albertus".
